Hardware, Software and Configuration Requirements

There are specific requirements regarding the hardware and software required to run CCD v4.0.1 which are important, and if your system does not meet the required specification CCD v4.0.1 may not function correctly.

From CCD v4 onwards, we only support two configurations; CCD Solo for all single user installations and CCD Server/Workstation for all multiuser installations.  If you are currently on a Peer to Peer/Workgroup set up you will need to upgrade to the CCD Server/Workstation configuration. 

There will be two types of licences available for CCD v4.0.1; Concurrent for all users who need guaranteed access to CCD at all times and Guest for users who do not require guaranteed use at all times and can share the use of licences with the Concurrent users.

Adviser Desktop is not available as part of the CCD v4.0.1 release.  Adviser Desktop will continue to be a product supported by our Customer Support Team for clients who wish to remain on an earlier release of CCD.  You may wish to consider VPN access as an alternative for remote access.

Training

To support your upgrade to CCD v4.0.1, all clients will be provided with a free Computer Based Training (CBT) disc demonstrating the main changes (excluding SIPP and Wrap products). There are separate guides to cover the SIPP restructure and new Wrap product which are included on the disc.

With these changes in mind, a short training session has been created to guide your staff through the main changes and ensure the transition is as smooth as possible. The training will take the form of a one hour online session at a cost of £150 + VAT.   We strongly recommend this training for clients who use SIPP or Wrap products.
