Staff news at Quay

Who they are and what they do

Steph Parker joined Quay in August as a User Support Consultant. Steph has worked within the Financial Services Industry, specialising in the mortgage area. Steph is already proving to be a key member of the Support team.

Adrienne Jones has worked for Quay in various temporary roles over the past year and we are now pleased to say has joined Quay in the permanent role of Client Care Consultant. Adrienne has many years of customer services experience within the banking and law industry.

Mark Turner joined Quay in June as Training Co-ordinator and has also worked with us in a temporary position within the Support Installation team. Mark has many years experience in various customer facing roles, including 12 years as an IT Trainer.

Lee Milham joined Quay over 8 years ago as a member of the Support team and has worked within the Development team and as the Customer Support Manager. Lee has now accepted the role of Test Manager and will be working closely with the Development team to improve and expand our Testing strategies. Lee previously worked for a number of years in the Financial Services Industry.

Dave Witchalls is our new Customer Support Manager. Dave joined Quay in January this year, working within the Technical Support team. He has vast experience in the IT sector, previously working on high profile projects for Fujitsu Services. He brings a wealth of experience in both technical issues and customer service.

Request your upgrade to CCD version 3.3.3 today


As you are no doubt aware CCD 3.3.3 is on general release and we would like to take this opportunity to give you some compelling reasons why you should upgrade to this version:

Integration with third party software

We understand the importance of keeping all your data in one place, but we also realise that may you use other software as well as CCD to run your business. Therefore we strive with every release to offer integrations that will help you maintain a streamlined process with minimal re-keying of data.

  • We have strengthened our integration with Webline and have added integration for Synaptic’s Clarity (web-based) product
  • Solution Builder is now available to enable you to do comparative quotes using our integration with Assureweb
  • Enhanced integration with Financial Express Analytics
  • Improved integration with Cofunds

New Contract Enquiry Providers

We understand that getting your client proposition right is extremely important to your business. One of the major bottlenecks in many IFA firms is the production of valuations in time for a scheduled or ad-hoc client reviews. Contract Enquiry will enable you to perform valuations for your clients quickly and easily without needing to spend time on the phone contacting the provider. Contract Enquiry can also be used to populate fund choices and the allocations once policy documents have been received.

Our new providers added for CCD v3.3.3 are:

  • Norwich Union
  • Legal and General
  • Zurich

As well as adding these new providers we have also upgraded Aegon so that now almost 98% of all their policy types can be updated via Contract Enquiry. We offer Training and/or Consultancy on Contract Enquiry to help ensure that you get the best out of this service and transform your admin processes.

Over 75 new features and modifications

We are always keen to ensure that we push the software forward and, mainly in response to client requests, we have added over 75 new features and modifications into this CCD release. Highlights include:

  • Improved searching when reconciling fees / commission
  • New valuation reports
  • Policy number is viewable at the top of the screen when working on a ‘holding’
  • Total Invested and Values fields now cater for millions

Changes to Support Helpdesk


We recognise the importance of providing support to our customers and we are continuing to make improvements to our service.

Following the feedback from our customers, we have changed the way we handle calls to add value to the service. From now on, when you call the helpdesk the Support Consultant will make every effort to resolve your issue whilst you are on the phone, only passing the call on when further investigation is needed by either technical support or the development team.

The voicemail function will still exist in the event that all of the Support Consultants are busy, but to ensure that any messages are dealt with in a timely manner, we now have a member of the team dedicated to monitoring your voicemails and emails to ensure a quicker response.

Further improvements are on the way and we will continue to communicate these via the monthly newsletter.

Easy access to Fund Data

You now have the ability to see a full listing of the funds available from Financial Express.

Life and pension, unit trusts, OEICS and offshore funds are all listed. Also, you have the flexibility to view fund managers alphabetically or select the specific fund manager you are looking for.
