We would like to welcome a couple of new members to the Quay Team, Grace as our new receptionist and Kate as Personal Assistant to the MD.

This update focuses on the new features in CCD 3.3 and customer care reviews.

Importantly, most of these solutions have been developed as a consequence of user feedback. Indeed, Quay's entire development agenda is driven from client input, allowing you to make a real contribution to your back office system. By listening to our clients, our systems evolve to meet their changing needs, ensuring that the system remains relevant to this demanding business sector. It is only as a direct result of client feedback that CCD has become the system of choice for an increasing number of firms and furthermore has gained the recognition of the industry we serve. With the Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) project being a key priority with the FSA, the ability to keep accurate data is essential for your business. From monitoring complaints and financial promotions, to providing access to research tools and ensuring you have a full audit trail of contact with your clients, the Client Care Desktop can provide this for you.

Overview of major modifications


 
 


Do you need to increase your knowledge on a particular area or module of Client Care Desktop, however you do not have the time to get away from the office to attend a training course?

 

Our online training could be the answer.

Perhaps you need to get started using the Compliance module, need help reconciling Commissions or logging client fees and producing your invoices. Whatever the subject, online training is a convenient way of learning more about the focused areas most suitable for you and your company’s needs.

The training is conducted over the phone whilst sharing a computer screen, so all that is required is an internet connection. This means your training can be delivered with minimal disruption to your schedule.
Experience tells us that effective training is delivered in small bite-size chunks and online training is ideal for this, as it is chargeable by the hour and the normal session is one or two hours long.

Client Care Desktop now includes support for Commercial lines as standard. The fact find plug-in comes complete with a dedicated Commercial lending fact find and the system offers comprehensive loan tracking features.

CCD extracts your client details for the fact find to cover their requirements for Commercial Mortgages, Vehicles, Equipment and Cash flow finance.

Valentine Financial Services have worked closely with Quay Software to develop this facility and are working as a Business Partner for its use. It is envisaged that as the facility is used and evolved then specific on line training and seminars will naturally follow.

Our website provides a variety of useful information. The animations area lets you see the Client Care Desktop in action.

Click on the link below to see the demonstrations available, which include Client reporting, Morningstar integration and Group Scheme Data. There are also Case Studies, which show you how to use the product from the initial appointment, through the fact find to using calculators (including school fees, protection and annuity purchase) and presenting your recommendations.

The downloads section of the website allows you access to useful literature, such as the Contract Enquiry guides and training solutions brochure. You can also obtain copies of previous newsletters, along with details of the modifications made to each new release of the Client Care Desktop.

CCD is integrated with several Intermediary Trading Portals and quotation engines such as Exweb (The Exchange), Webline, Assureweb, Trigold etc.

This means that if you have entered your clients details into CCD you can log into your chosen portal through CCD and take your client’s information with you i.e. as well as saving the time by not having to switch out of CCD to your Internet browser, your quote has that head start and will be pre populated with your client’s basic details such as names, address, date of birth etc. So if you have numerous quotes to produce you could save yourself a lot of typing and time!

Setting Up
In the 'setup' of CCD is your 'staff list' and within each person's records is the ability to store their ‘Passwords’ for ‘Third parties’ such as Exweb, Webline or Assureweb (these are provided by the relevant companies in the normal manner). This ensures that CCD remembers the passwords and the third parties know whom they are dealing with.

Using
From the front page of CCD click on ‘Fact find’. Once you have selected the correct client you wish to work on enter the ‘Advise’ tab and you can see the options available to you – Exweb, Webline and Assureweb lie in the ‘Quotation’ tab. You will now leave CCD and have a head start on your quotation.
