Training

How can we help you?

To fully benefit from your upgrade, we recommend that all staff should be trained on the new functionality you plan to use and to highlight the core enhancements in 3.3.2.

Training ensures a smooth transition to the new version of the software, which means considerably less time spent questioning how things work.

We particularly recommend training on

Document Management – If you are taking Adviser Desktop, this training is mandatory.

Our courses can be tailored to suit your business needs and the functionality that you are going to use. There is a range of payment options available, as well as various delivery methods, from on-line telephone training, training at our offices in Hertfordshire or on one of our regional training days that will be advertised shortly.

If you wish to find out details of our standard sessions please click here

Alternatively, we can design the session bespoke to your needs. For more information or to discuss training tailored to your needs, please call our training department on 01279 756 086 or email training@quaysoftware.co.uk

Top Training Tip

Believe it or not Christmas is almost upon us. The shops are filling up with cards and gift ideas already.

Many of you have enquired about the label facility within CCD and how it could be used when sending your clients’ Christmas cards.

To create labels for clients, you will need to first find the lucky clients and then output their names and addresses to an excel document.

You can then create your labels using the mail merge area within Word.

The fields you will need to export are:
Letteraddresseecalc (this is assuming you complete the field under client>postal "address letters to")
Address1
Address2
Address3
Address4
Postcode

If you have not completed the address letters to field, you will need to export the fields Title, Forename and Surname.

Click here to take you to an article that explains how to export information into excel. Once the spreadsheet is complete you will need to utilize Word. Go to the mail merge wizard and select the label wizard option

Did you know...

CCD will allow you to store templates of all your standard letters to facilitate simple and effective letter-writing to clients or other contacts on the database. It ensures that you have continuity of contact across your organization also. By using merge items and Auto-text functionality you are able to automatically bring data into your letter that is held on the client file.

If you produce a letter from within CCD, a copy of the completed letter will automatically be placed into your client’s file and work log for future reference.

Using the letter-writing facilities within CCD should save you considerable time and will help you to avoid having to keep switching between different software. Another real benefit of doing this inside CCD is that it enables a comprehensive audit trail in your clients’ records as all correspondence is safely stored in one place and will then be backed up regularly with the rest of your database.

If you require further assistance on the subject why not sign up for our “Letters and Forms” online training session?
