The Quay Blog is born ...
It's a very special day for Quay, as we have great pleasure in launching our Blog. So what exactly is a Blog? With help from Wikipedia, the online encyclopaedia, a Blog can be described as follows: "A Blog is a website, or is featured in a website in which journal entries are posted on a regular basis. The term 'Blog' is a shortened form of Weblog or Web log. Authoring a Blog, maintaining a Blog or adding an article to an existing Blog is called "Blogging". Individual articles on a Blog are called "Blog posts," "posts" or "entries". A person who posts these entries is called a "Blogger", and a Blog can include hypertext, images and links to other web pages, video, audio and other files. Blogs use a conversational style of writing, and often focus on a particular area of interest, such as technology, golf, politics, marketing, political goings-on, lifestyle issues - or perhaps even industry issues of interest to IFAs!" So now you know! Over the coming months, you will be able to read Quay's take on, well, anything that we think needs airing. At Quay, we are passionate about helping today's independent adviser to grow the profitability of their practice through the integration of technology and the development of a modern, professional business model. Not only will we be posting our thoughts on industry concerns and developments, we will also be looking at broader business issues. Please check back regularly and send us your own thoughts and comments. Happy New Year! Philip Calvert Call me on 07773 359 619.
