Take the case of one recent organisation that transferred to Quay from another leading supplier:

Data conversions require that data is transferred physically between databases.
As part of the conversion process, information such as product codes are
routinely “mapped” (all part of our service).

Invariably when mapping data from systems that permit users to create their own products providers and codes, issues are identified regarding duplicated entries. However a recent case identified that users of the system had recorded Section 32 Buy-Out contracts 13 different ways.

The consequence of NOT managing product, product provider and fund codes is clear by this example. Without standards, all compliance controls, all new business reports, all risk management processes, all management information, all regulator reporting is suspect.
