Electronic valuations
Automated
valuations
Even the smallest firms can have hundreds of clients. Large firms
can have hundreds of thousands. Managing a client service proposition
which commits the business to regular client valuations has until
now been a significant cost and administrative burden. However managing
client valuations has recently become a whole lot easier and, over
the coming months will become easier still
Although automated valuations (sometimes called contract enquiry
or real-time valuations) have been available from some Product Providers
for some time, Client Care Desktop offers users two essential differences;
scheduled requests and batch processing.
Scheduled requests and Batch processing
Scheduled requests can be set up so that valuations are obtained
in advance of regular client reviews or to meet regular valuation
commitments. The scheduling facility is easy to use and accommodates
any interval period between valuations. In short, the system does
the job of determining when valuations are required and each day
presents a batch of cases that need to be updated. And that's where
Batch processing comes in.
Batch processing avoids the need for users to process valuations
electronically individually. Client Care Desktop processes the batch
of valuations and provides real time feedback to the user about
progress, success and valuation failure. All of this is done in
the "background" and via a separate software "window"
which allows users to continue with their work, unaffected by the
processing of what could be thousands of valuation updates being
processed.
When all valuations in the batch have successfully completed, the
user is alerted and invited to process the update, which then updates
all the client data files. Any Provider errors are summarised and
can be printed.
