Hardware requirements

Minimum hardware and software requirements

Client Care Desktop v4 is available in two editions:

  • CCD Solo – a single user edition that can be installed and accessed on one machine
  • CCD Server/Workstation – a multi user edition consisting of a single CCD Server and multiple CCD Workstation installations

There are separate hardware and software requirements for the CCD Server and CCD Workstation installations. CCD Solo has the same requirements as CCD Workstation.

CCD Solo and CCD Workstation will install on any machine running one of the operating systems listed below. However, for improved performance we recommend certain minimum specifications for your workstations, which are also detailed below.

 CCD Solo & CCD Workstations
Operating systems: Windows XP Home Edition SP2, Windows XP Professional SP2, Windows Vista
 Hardware (minimum recommended)
 Windows XP  Windows VIsta
  • 1 GB RAM
  • 1 GHz Intel Pentium Processor
  • Hard Disk: 10 GB.
  • SVGA 800 x 600 24 bit monitor or better
  • 2 GB RAM
  • 2 GHz Intel Pentium Processor
  • Hard Disk: 10 GB.
  • SVGA 800 x 600 24 bit monitor or better

To support the CCD Server/Workstation edition, a machine is required to run CCD Server. It is recommended that this machine is dedicated to running CCD Server and no other services. It is not possible to run CCD Workstation on the same machine that CCD Server is installed on.

 CCD Server
Operating systems: Windows XP Professional SP2, Windows 2000 Server SP4, Windows 2003 Server SP2
 Hardware (minimum recommended)
  • 2GB RAM
  • Dual CPU/Core Duo Processor
  • Hard Disk: 80GB.
  • For improved performance use:
  • High-performance bus architecture
  • A SCSI disk drive, preferably one that is compatible with Fast SCSI or SCSI-2. To improve disk-access time, use a SCSI disk drive with RAID.
  • A high-performance network adapter. Consider having two network adapters in the server machine and designate one for RDP traffic only.
